United Junior triumphs at futsal league

UNITED Junior won the Subang Jaya USJ futsal league when they defeated The Rookie 3-0 in the finals here at the at the SS19 Futsal Court recently.
As the champions, United Junior received RM500 while The Rookie returned with RM300. In third place was United FC who edged Skuat Ginga 2-1 on penalties.
The eight-team league which was launched by Kelana Jaya parliamentary candidate Datuk Lee Hwa Beng, was played over two days with participating teams from the neighbourhood.
Lee said he was happy to see many youngsters involved in the league.
“Six months ago, we had installed flood lights to enable the residents to play futsal till 11pm. We are pleased the facilities are well utilised by the residents,'' said Lee.
