Joint LRT project proposed
KUALA LANGAT: It’s a joint venture between the federal and state governments to expand the light rail transit service in Selangor.
The state government will provide land for train stations and tracks while the federal government will finance the proposed RM12 billion expanded LRT system.
Menteri Besar Datuk Seri Dr Mohd Khir Toyo said the state would submit the proposal for the LRT network to the Transport Ministry soon.
He said the proposal would most likely be carried out under the Ninth, 10th and 11th Malaysia Plans, up to 2020.
