I refer to Mr Derek Fernandez’s opinion on my request whether Taman Subang Ria should be considered by itself or that MPSJ should bring in the other parts of Subang Jaya (SS12 – SS19) when Sime UEP submits for development. He did not answer this question.
Taman Subang Ria
Aug 27, 2007 ... Q&A: Taman Subang Ria
Aug 9, 2007 ... Q&A: Dr Halimaton's mistake
I have mentioned before on this issue. When Puan Halimaton made this statement, she thought Subang Ria was part of the SS12 – SS19 title. If it was so, it is definitely a mistake of the State Government to give the title back to Sime UEP. As mentioned before, the then MDP and the State Government already provided for the then 5% open space requirement of the SS12 – SS19 project in the 70’s.
Aug 9, 2007 ... Q&A: Subang Ria Park
I think I will not want to be involved in arranging this meeting. I had arranged one before and had failed. That is why I did not turn up for the JKP (3rd) meeting with the Sime UEP Managing Director just before the hearing.
Aug 8, 2007 ... Q&A: Next Step - Sime UEP
I think the next step will depend a lot on the land owner, i.e. Sime UEP. He had tried to develop 17 acres and surrender the rest to MPSJ but had failed due to objections by resident. I do not think the Government will acquire the land as it will need tax payer's fund. I have already explained in very detail many times why I think MB will never allow public funds to acquire this land.
Star, Aug 7, 2007 ... Registration necessary to identify residents
I REFER to the letter that appeared in StarMetro on Aug 2 titled Red tape snag to hearing.
The writer complained about the procedure of registering for the public hearing on Taman Subang Ria carried out by the Subang Jaya Municipal Council (MPSJ) recently.
Aug 3, 2007 ... Q&A: Subang Ria Park
I have said many times and I shall repeat here again. My responsibility as the wakil rakyat is to carry out the wishes of the rakyat. The rakyat had spoken during the dialogue, i.e. no development at all.
Aug 3, 2007 ... Q&A: Subang Ria Park
The approved or committed projects in Subang Jaya (SS12 to SS19) are :-
1) All areas in SS16 commercial area
2) Former Gazebo area (including SS19 near Valley Club)
3) Land beside SS15 Post Office (committed during MPPJ’s time)
4) Upgrade of Inti College (in process)
5) Upgrade of SS13 Hawker Centre (only hawker centre, badminton & futsal courts)
6) Millenium Park (in process)
Under consideration is the Sheraton
Aug 2, 2007 ... Q&A: Future projects should be 2 hectars per 2000 persons
The gazebo project and SS16 commercial projects were zoned for developments when SS12 to SS19 were approved by Majlis Daerah Petaling in 1970’s. They are part of the Sime UEP land which they have subsequently sold some of them.
Star Mail, Aus 2, 2007 ... Red tape snag to hearing
refer to Star Metro Mail on 2nd August 2007 written by “Frustrated” under the heading “Red tape snag to hearing”.
He complained a lot on the procedure of registering his dissent to a public hearing on Taman Subang Ria conducted by MPSJ recently.
Aug 1, 2007 ... Q&A: Taman Subang Ria
Ya, the new 10% or 2 ha per 1000 residents should apply for all new projects. MPSJ has been using the 10% for many years now. As the 2 ha per 1000 came up in the hearing, I have asked MPSJ to apply for future projects.
